A Thankyou to 2011

December 28, 2011

2011 has been a good year here in Jojet Towers. I’d love to say that was down to my meticulous planning but, in truth, this was more the coming to gather of a lot of hard graft as well as (probably) a little bit of luck; not that I’m complaining! I have taken stock from how 2011 simply roared by and I will be setting down concrete goals and planning for 2012 (as I don’t want to be saying the same thing this time next year!).

However, goals etc is for another post, here I simply wanted to pass some thanks to some of the people who’ve been a great help in 2011.

Russell Britton

I’ve known Russ for a good few years now & not only is he a great associate for my business (providing the branding/identity for lots of my clients) but he’s also a good laugh. He’s been through many of the same trials and tribulations as me & my business and he’s always a great person to bounce ideas off or just to vent some steam. Russ is currently looking at the identity of my company Jojet as I look to best place it for the next couple of years. Thank you.

Phil Cheesman

Like Russ, I’ve known Phil for a good couple of years now – Phil has been helping me with business planning, products and services, target audience analysis – you name it. This is all the boring stuff (or, which I thought was the boring stuff) which I simply chose to forget about in the early years of Jojet. Now that I want to be more strategic in my thinking, I’m taking more of Phil’s advice on board. I’m working with Phil at the moment for the vision for Jojet for the next 3 years. Phil is open, honest & knowledgeable; a pleasure to work with. Thank you.

Huw Jones

Huw is a superb advertising & commercial based here in Newport – I can’t quite remember how we met but it was back in 2010 but we’ve been good friends ever since. My company created Huw’s new website and I’ve been helping Huw on the social networking side (including Twitter & Instagram). Huw has a super smart business brain who has been in business for many moons so I’m more than happy to bounce ideas for Jojet off Huw to see what his angle is; always some sage words there. Thank you.

Pippa Davies

I’ve know Pippa (AKA Mrs Motivator) for about 2 years after she came on one of my blogging courses. Pippa is star who has a superb industry track record using her psychology skills to help companies deal with many issues (including the likes of John Lewis). Amongst many things, Pippa is a published author (including ebooks), as I’m planning on publishing an ebook or two in 2012, Pippa been offering some great advice. Thank you.

Jim Connolly

Jim is the only person listed here who I’ve not actually met in person; I bumped into him on Twitter. Jim runs a marketing & business development business. I’ve found Jim’s blog posts to very thought provoking – especially as I have begun to put the pieces into place for what I want Jojet to be and how I want my professional (and personal) life to be. Thanks for the metal stimulation Jim!

And many more…

And there are lots more people I could thank but I, at least, just wanted to get a few of the main guys & girls mentioned. Thanks again for your help & all the best for 2012.

Joel
